About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You will work closely with customers, supporting various departments, and contributing to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming presence, assisting customers with product selection and addressing inquiries.
- Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Perform cashier duties, including restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and managing inventory.
- Support opening and closing store activities, including stocking shelves and preparing for the next day's operations.
- Assist pharmacy personnel, including working shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development.
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs.
Requirements
- Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs, and performing tasks requiring visual acuity.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications: Previous retail or customer service experience.
Qualifications
- Age requirement: At least 16 years old.
- Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals and reading.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency with cash registers and a passion for customer service are also important.
