Store Associate

About the role

Underground Printing (UGP’s) is seeking a personable store employee to join our team in Blacksburg. This role is ideal for someone passionate about college athletics.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Aid customers in finding products and offer recommendations based on their needs.
• Answer customer inquiries, both retail and custom, and provide relevant information.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns and escalate as necessary.
• Maintain a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Engage with customers to promote and sell products.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and highlight features and benefits.
• Use effective sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell products.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall store revenue.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Aid with merchandising activities, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and arranging products.
• Maintain a clean and well-presented store environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors of any stock shortages or excesses.
• Support store operations by assisting with opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation, security checks, and store cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to ensure smooth operations and effective teamwork.
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to company guidelines and regulations, including dress code and code of conduct.
• Effectively and efficiently review and ship online orders daily.
• Support the custom sales process by completing Lessonly training, becoming familiar with Core Samples, and assisting customers in creating quotes and placing custom orders.

Requirements

• Active campus involvement.
• Excellent marketing and communication skills.
• Advanced organizational skills.
• Pc proficient with experience using MS Office Suite, Gmail, and Google documents.
• Sales and customer service experience is preferred.
