Store Assistant

About the Role

We want you to join our team as an Assistant Manager in a fast-paced, fun environment where you can create a career in management. This is a full-time position with a focus on overseeing Stationstore operations, including hiring, supervising staff, bookkeeping, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and oversight of the Stationstore.
• Hire, supervise, and work with staff to accomplish daily tasks.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and set an example for the team.
• Execute the food program to meet company standards.
• Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance.
• Lead a team, delegate tasks, and follow up on responsibilities.
• Handle cash, bookkeeping, and problem-solving.
• Recruit, interview, and hire employees.
• Communicate plans and ideas effectively.
• Ensure safety and security within the store.

Requirements

• Retail, supervisor, or management experience.
• Recruiting, hiring, and interviewing skills.
• Experience handling food.
• High School or College Degree(s) preferred.

Schedule

Full-time position requiring availability for evenings, including weekdays and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes in a shift.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
• Bend at the waist with some twisting for up to one hour per shift.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination.
• May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.
