Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, track packages delivered (excluding scheduled shipments).
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend loss prevention strategies.
• Perform figure-8 patrols throughout the store, ensuring constant movement.
• Provide a visible presence at entrances/exits through courteous and professional customer interactions.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends based on retail business needs.
• Must be able to stand/walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
