About the role

Stone, a BearCom company founded in 2006, is an award-winning security integration company with the goal of becoming America’s most trusted and sought-after security integrator. While headquartered in the Rocky Mountains, the company performs work worldwide. This position installs and troubleshoots low-voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices, guides lower-level installers, and leads system programming, startup, and commissioning. The role demands a commitment to quality, personal accountability, and the ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot low-voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices
  • Proctor, coach, and teach lower-level installers at a single worksite
  • Perform system programming and lead startup and commissioning
  • Provide high-quality customer support and instruction on system operation
  • Conduct system testing and signal verification
  • Maintain truck stock and inventory of equipment and tools
  • Organize and utilize technical resources to ensure efficient task execution
  • Document service, hours worked, and required task-related activities
  • Support and troubleshoot security software systems (e.g., Milestone, LenelS2, DMP)
  • Communicate and schedule service and maintenance calls
  • Perform general maintenance of installed security and access control systems per contracts
  • Ensure all work complies with Federal, State, and local regulations
  • Provide custom system integrations, upgrade planning and execution, system audits, and consultation
  • Install, configure, and support a variety of electronic security solutions
  • Support projects and sales teams as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Vocational Training
  • Five or more years of experience in enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems
  • Full understanding of local and national codes, OSHA, HAZCOM Regulations, and national electrical/code requirements
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to clear pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must obtain and retain product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state, and local codes
  • Must obtain and retain Lift certifications and minimum OSHA 10 certification
  • Requires 75% to 100% proficiency in Stone Security product offerings

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Use vision for close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color perception. Work in ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings; lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs. Must work a full-time, flexible schedule with on-call availability and travel on short notice. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended periods.
