Stocktaker - Administrative

About the role

The Stocktaker ensures all products in the warehouse are properly accounted for by counting merchandise and comparing it to database records. They also assist customers with product selection and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly cycle counts by walking through warehouse departments.
• Scan product with an LRT Gun and enter quantities counted.
• Move product as needed to ensure accurate counts.
• Enter security cage and count product while lifted as required.
• Research discrepancies between physical counts and database records using the proprietary computer system (JSS).
• Drive a Scissor Lift as needed.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with product location and detailed information.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with products.
• Flexible work schedule with ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20–25 lbs frequently and 50–100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to walk, climb, stoop, and kneel.
• Ability to remain standing and walking for 4 hours at a time with one 10–15 minute break.
• Posture tolerance: reach above shoulder level, twist/turn head, bend over/stoop, and kneel/squat.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Work Environment

• Temperatures vary by department (e.g., cool in Deli/Produce, cold in Freezers).
• Exposure to industrial vehicles (forklifts, HiLo) moving material throughout the warehouse.
