Stocker - Seafood

About the Role

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor, serving independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits with a focus on savings, selection, and service. We operate 150+ warehouses in 37 states and are seeking a Stocker for our Seafood Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
• Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves; open boxes and restock individual items.
• Organize and front-face items on shelves.
• Perform inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Assist in daily inventory reviews for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and up-to-date.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by scrubbing, pulling out pallets, and cleaning underneath.
• Monitor department floors for safety hazards; promptly handle spills and remove trash.
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to reserves.
• Inform supervisors of low stock or out-of-stock merchandise.

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete for up to 10 hours/day.
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures.
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters).
