Stocker - Produce

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor serving independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits. We provide the right products at competitive prices in the quantities needed, seven days a week, across 150+ warehouses in 37 states.

About the role

As a Stocker in the Produce department, you will provide prompt and courteous customer service, stock product on shelves, and maintain clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service
• Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves; open boxes and remove single items to restock shelves
• Organize and front-face items on shelves
• Perform proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assist in daily inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by scrubbing, pulling out pallets, and cleaning underneath on a regular schedule
• Continuously review department floors for safety hazards; promptly and safely handle spills and remove trash
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves
• Promptly inform supervisors of any low stock or out-of-stock merchandise
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned; may be required to work in other departments as needed

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
