Stocker - Produce

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor serving independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits. We provide the right products at competitive prices in the quantities needed, seven days a week across 150+ warehouses in 37 states.

About the role

As a Produce Packer, you will provide prompt and courteous customer service, stock product on shelves, and maintain clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service
• Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves; open boxes and remove single items to re-stock shelves
• Organize and front-face items on shelves
• Perform proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assist in daily inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through a regular maintenance schedule, including scrubbing and cleaning underneath pallets
• Monitor department floors for safety hazards, promptly handle spills, and remove trash (e.g., plastic wrap, ties, wood)
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves
• Promptly inform supervisors of low stock or out-of-stock merchandise
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned; may be required to work in other departments as needed

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Walk/stand on concrete up to 10 hours/day
• Frequently turn, stand, reach, stoop, and/or bend
• Frequently push/pull objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lift/carry objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Work around moving equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
