Stocker - Part-time

About the role

This role involves organizing and stocking food display areas according to store layouts, ensuring proper handling, rotation, and merchandising of food products. You will perform temperature checks, quality control, break down pallets, process food items, and maintain organized back stock and cooler areas. Products must be correctly placed for easy customer access, and you will support promotional activities, stock shelves, assist customer service, and maintain store cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stock food display areas following store layouts
• Handle, rotate, and merchandise food products with proper temperature checks and quality control
• Break down pallets and process food items
• Maintain organized back stock and cooler areas
• Ensure products are placed for easy customer access
• Support promotional activities and stock shelves
• Assist with customer service and suggestive selling to meet sales goals
• Maintain store cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Communicate effectively with management, vendors, and team members
• Cross-train across departments and remain flexible during busy periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and lifts
• Possess or acquire a food handling license
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic math skills
• Prior retail or stock experience preferred but not mandatory
