Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency and customer serviceas well as managing the team responsible stocking items on the shelves and ensuring the neat, orderly condition of the store.
  • Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse.
  • Ensure dock to stock for most lines within 72 hours.
  • Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on our shelves.
  • Ensure trucks/ trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/ unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives.
  • Work with dispatchers and outbound production team to enhance customer service via delivery vehicles.
  • Check in and post orders from hubs and vendors.
  • Avoid inventory discrepancies by maintaining an accurate count of inventory.
  • Assist parts pullers to locate and identify parts.
  • Handle damaged deliveries, report damaged merchandise to shippers and vendors.

  • Coordinate with store manager and purchasing on inventory updates and replacements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Oversee operations:
    • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse.
    • Maintain a safe working environment.
    • Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards.
    • Administer and follow 5S warehouse principles on a routine basis.
    • Manage carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.) and local (contract) delivery relationships.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-4 years experience as a stock manager.
  • Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and time sensitive distribution required.
  • Experience with WMS/ inventory management system, RF technology and conveyor technology.
  • Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed.
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as inbound/outbound productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
  • Forklift, Hazmat and OSHA Certifications preferred.
  • Clean/ valid drivers license preferred.
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs).
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc).
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
