Overview
The Stock Handler II at A-dec is responsible for managing inventory, transferring parts and finished goods, and assisting in cycle counts. This role trains less experienced peers and works closely with various manufacturing departments.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides stock handling training to less experienced Stock Handler I peers.
- Gathers inventory according to instructions and routes them to designated areas safely.
- Maintains organization and accuracy of work area by following established procedures.
- Completes orders, stages in-process work and supply items, monitors stock rotation, allocates storage space on shelves, updates ERP system, and loads/unloads trucks as required.
- Regularly provides input to Supervisor regarding work area conditions and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Utilizes appropriate PIT material handling techniques, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Aids in the cycle count process and maintains/updates information in ERP system.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of basic math to accurately measure/calculate quantities of parts/stock counted.
- Training/mentoring ability, self-start behavior, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Fast-paced environment adaptability and ability to identify part numbers and/or descriptions, including needs for improvement.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, including clear communication with peers and upstream/downstream customers.
- Working knowledge of PIT operation and/or ERP System experience.
Education And Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse related experience.
- PIT certification to operate various motorized material handling vehicles (lift trucks, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and demonstrated ability to use other tools/equipment.
