About the role

The Northwest Region of the New Mexico Department of Health encompasses seven counties: San Juan, McKinley, Cibola, Sandoval, Valencia, Torrance, and Bernalillo. Responsibilities

• Receive supply requests
• Maintain sufficient office, janitorial, and medical supplies to support NWR operational needs
• Cook with financial staff to place orders and verify/validate orders upon receipt so invoices can be paid timely
• Identify stock requirements and maintain up-to-date inventory records
• Receive items, unpack, store items with identifying information, and help complete and deliver supply orders timely as requested
• Organize and label items with codes for easy location of goods
• Inspect for damaged, spoiled, or lost goods
• Ensure materials are correctly placed so they can be found easily or distributed to the appropriate personnel or department upon request
• Assist maintenance repair staff in moving furniture, installing larger items, where the task requires more than one individual
• Aid the NW Region vehicle coordinator in tasks such as reporting WEX pins, mileage, tracking, and taking vehicles in for maintenance as needed

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License

Employment Requirements

• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Lift, push, pull, transfer, and carry up to one hundred (100) pounds may be required
• Occasionally travel throughout the NW Region and occasionally to other parts of the state
• The use of your personal vehicle may be required with mileage reimbursement at the current rate per mile
