Stock Clerk

About the Role

This position involves stocking and maintaining merchandise in a grocery environment, ensuring products are fresh, organized, and readily available for customers.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
• Maintains a clean and neat work area.
• Unloads groceries from customers' shopping carts.
• Operates cashier equipment/systems as needed.
• Carries or carts groceries to customer’s car.
• Properly bags or packages customers' purchases using the correct size and quantity of bags.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
• Performs all essential job functions with limited supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally over 50 pounds).
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time.
• Follows dress code and established safety policies and procedures.
• Follows written and oral instructions.
• Works well with others.
• Speaks English fluently.
• Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
• Hearing corrected to normal range.
• Possesses full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
