About the role

The position will be part of a growing, inclusive team at our Rancho Carmel location in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate performs a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse. Responsibilities include verifying materials, batch numbers, and quantities against receiving receipts; storing materials according to identifying factors; kitting orders or issuing materials from inventory; monitoring shortages; and conducting cycle counts for inventory accuracy. You will determine methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space.

Responsibilities

• Receive/induct various materials into Stores
• Kit various materials
• Transfer material to various locations
• Scrap material
• Conduct cycle counts
• Perform inventory adjustments
• Handle contract closeouts
• Conduct wall-to-wall inventory
• Pick up and deliver parts and materials
• Kit/stage job plan materials
• Support other San Diego sites as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience
• Valid State Driver’s License with no violations
• Experience positively interacting with all stakeholders, including workers, contractors, management, and customers
• Experience lifting up to 30 lbs on a regular basis
• Experience operating a 3-ton box truck
• Experience operating a forklift
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
• Experience working in SAP
• Salumina experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing / 6S

Pay

Primary level salary range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
