Stock Associate

About the role

Parts Authority, founded in 1973, is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment, and transmissions. Headquartered in Long Island, New York, we are rapidly expanding with over 300 locations servicing customers across multiple states. We are looking for dynamic, career-minded individuals to join our team as Warehouse Associates.

Responsibilities

• Stock items on shelves and maintain a neat, orderly warehouse environment
• Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores, placing them in the proper location
• Verify and check off received merchandise
• Correct mistakes found on inventory count sheets
• Assist in pulling parts during busy periods
• Clean inside and outside the warehouse
• Work with the stock manager to address order problems
• Resolve issues related to warehouse stocking
• Complete miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Accurately follow written and verbal directions
• Maintain productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
• Stay focused and on task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Effective time management and ability to work under pressure
• Collaborate well with other staff members and supervisors
• Open availability, flexibility to work various shifts and overtime
• 1-2 years of stocking experience preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse safety measures
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Ability to secure and transfer cash or other assets
