Stock Assembler

About the role

The Stock Assembler performs work-station assembly operations to produce components or assemble those components into a completed environmental test chamber.

Responsibilities

• Read, comprehend, and follow Department Work Instructions
• Properly assemble Stock Assemblies and/or chambers, which may include:
  • Any assembly-type functions using hand and power tools
  • Reading and using standard measuring devices
  • Using RTV silicones and similar adhesive/sealants
  • Using cleaning chemicals such as dish soap and aerosol degreasers
  • Performing basic wiring connections and techniques
  • Brazing/soldering copper, brass, or other similar materials

Requirements

• Basic math and measuring skills
• Ability to read (or willingness to learn to read) blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with brazing and/or soldering

Pay

$20.00 to $23.00 per hour
