Information Technology$87k–$137k/yrFull-time
Summary
The Data Engineer/Architect provides on-site technical expertise to design, implement, and support advanced data-integration solutions for mission-partner environments. This role develops methodologies for data mapping, ETL processes, and enhanced data-integration strategies that adapt to evolving operational needs. The engineer creates tools for importing data from disparate commercial, defense, structured, and unstructured data sources to ensure compatibility, utility, and seamless interoperability with mission-partner systems. The position also provides technical guidance on architectural transformations required for data ingestion and supports mission partners in developing detailed data-exchange requirements.
What you will do
- Define and apply methodologies for data mapping, ETL workflows, and enhanced data-integration strategies to support mission-partner objectives.
- Develop tools and processes to import and integrate data from disparate commercial databases, defense datasets, and structured/unstructured data sources.
- Ensure data feeds are compatible with mission-partner systems, maintaining data quality, utility, and reliability.
- Provide expert technical advice on architectural transformations required to support evolving data-ingestion requirements.
- Facilitate mission-partner efforts to refine, document, and implement data-ingestion and data-exchange requirements.
- Translate technical specifications into actionable guidance for data-engineering planning and integration support.
- Support troubleshooting and refinement of ingestion pipelines and workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with mission partners and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure data solutions align with system capabilities and mission requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
