About the role

Appalshop is a media institution located in Jenkins, Kentucky. The Stewards VISTA program provides AmeriCorps members with opportunities to support community-based projects and initiatives through curriculum training and other activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula.
• Collaborate with local educators and community leaders to enhance learning experiences.
• Assist in the creation and distribution of educational materials and resources.
• Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to community service and education.
• Experience working with youth and adults in educational settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

Pay

Schedule

The AmeriCorps member will work full-time, typically 40 hours per week.
