Stewarding Supervisor - Full Time - Overnight

About the role

As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department, consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short-term and long-term profitability objectives.

Schedule

6:00 pm – 3:00 am, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned staff to include: hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; training; coaching; performance feedback; recommend and administer discipline; and scheduling.
• Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology, and processes.
• Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained.
• Make routine inspections of all equipment to ensure proper mechanical working order.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.
• Order china, glass, and silver.
• Assist in monitoring temperature and chemical solution requirements for dish‑washing, pot washing, and storage.
• Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested.

Requirements

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience (required).
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (required).
• Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement (preferred).
• Experience working in a similar resort setting (preferred).
• Bilingual; ability to speak Spanish fluently (preferred).

Skills

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures, kitchen steward functions, and all materials and equipment used in kitchen cleaning areas.
• Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, and obtain and manage resources.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence, and statistical information.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
