Steward Supervisor

About the role

As a Steward Supervisor, you are the frontline defender of kitchen safety and sanitation. You will oversee the daily activities of the culinary utility staff, ensuring all food and beverage venues meet strict health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to Culinary Utility I and II staff; ensure all team members are fully trained and performing to standard.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation, perform deep cleanings of the facility and specialized equipment, and inspect for potential health code violations.
• Check and document dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer levels; monitor and change chemicals as required.
• Order supplies as needed, assist in the dish room during staffing shortages, and clean dishwashing machinery after use.
