Responsibilities

• Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors.
• Clean floor mats, walls, ceiling, and air vents.
• Wash worktables, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
• Steam clean or hose out garbage cans and maintain designated trash receptacle area.
• Sort silverware, chemical dip, and soiled flatware.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Maintain and properly store chemicals in designated area.
• Wash and peel vegetables.
• Attend regularly scheduled kitchen meetings.
• Store food items in their proper location (freezer, walk-ins, dry storage, etc.).
• Obtain and maintain a San Diego County Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service certification.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $22.36

Schedule

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand (i.e. holidays, weekends, and high-volume business periods). In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
