Sterilization Technician JESS

Responsibilities

• Handle, inspect, decontaminate, package, and sterilize production supplies, equipment, instruments, tooling to support all core related activities.
• Perform visual and functional inspections of tooling, decontamination, sterilization, and documentation for medical device kits for field surgeries.
• Manage aseptic transfers of materials, supplies, and donors to ensure a safe and effective process.
• Maintain an efficient flow of sterilized supplies, materials, tooling, equipment for core production activities.
• Support logistical functions to enhance production activities outside of sterilized supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized SS workplace environment.
• Clean and disinfect non-sterile areas according to chemical standards.
• Package and transfer materials for all Processing and supporting departments.
• Unload and load ATP fluid handling process equipment.
• Manage inventory of sterile and non-sterile garments and scrubs.
• Support inventory management functions for all Processing and supporting departments.
• Document daily production activities associated with sterilization functions.
• Assist in maintaining bio-waste rooms and removing trash and bio-waste from Processing and supporting departments.
• Handle, inspect, decontaminate, package, and sterilize medical device kits for field surgeries (ACT).
• Maintain supply and housekeeping protocols for locker room sterile/non-sterile supplies/garments.
• Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year Tissue Banking, Central Sterile Supply, Central Sterile Processing, or Surgical Technician experience.
• 1 year Production experience in a sterile environment in the pharmaceutical or medical fields.
• 1 year experience in a position requiring use of hand tools or procedures involving hand-eye coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
