Sterilization Technician

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Maintain an organized sterilization area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after sterilization
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal functionality
  • Document and track sterilization processes, including monitoring sterilization cycles
  • Assist in the cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and common areas within the practice
  • Educate staff on proper sterilization protocols and procedures to ensure safety and compliance
  • Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures, reporting any compliance issues to management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a dental or medical sterilization role is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Able to work efficiently and manage time effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with the clinical team
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
