Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain an organized sterilization area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after sterilization
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Document and track sterilization processes, including monitoring sterilization cycles
- Assist in the cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and common areas within the practice
- Educate staff on proper sterilization protocols and procedures to ensure safety and compliance
- Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures, reporting any compliance issues to management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a dental or medical sterilization role is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Able to work efficiently and manage time effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with the clinical team
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
