The Sterilization and Lab Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a sterile and organized environment within the practice. They are responsible for ensuring all equipment and areas are properly cleaned and sterilized according to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and working areas in strict accordance with sterilization/disinfection protocols
- Keep chairs clean, stocked, and organized
- Provide patient care instructions
- Perform laboratory procedures under the general supervision of the Orthodontist
- Upload records to patient software
- Assist in Local Store Marketing and community events
- Cross-trains in other support positions as necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Some dental/orthodontic industry experience helpful, but not required
