Job Summary

Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our Sterile Processing Technicians perform the daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments in support of the operating room and outpatient practices. Responsibilities

  • Reprocesses instruments required for patient care.
  • Resets instrument sets without error.
  • Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
  • Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
  • Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
  • Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment.
  • Experience related experience 1-2 years preferred.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements.

Skills

Attention to detail. Ability to follow dept processes and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and guidelines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment built on a foundation of teamwork.

Pay

$20.99 - $29.99/Hourly Grade 5

Schedule

2pm - 10:30pm, Mon-Fri, rotating weekends once fully trained.
