About the role

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will process all surgical equipment needed for production in accordance with defined standard operating procedures and governing standards, ensuring compliance with LifeNet Health’s Quality Systems, Corporate Compliance programs, and department safety policies. This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift, as well as wear personal protective equipment, including surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles, and caps.

These roles are critical to the LifeNet Health mission, as they help transition donor gifts into lifesaving and health-restoring allografts for patients around the globe. Your work will directly contribute to life-changing outcomes every day.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately inspect, prepare, and package all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
  • Decontaminate all instrumentation and equipment effectively, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Stock case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned.
  • Process and complete associated case cart documentation.
  • Sterilize all equipment, ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective standard operating procedures (SOP) are followed.
  • Operate Steam and EO sterilizers and accurately complete associated documentation.
  • Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Zero years of work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year of work experience in a sterile processing environment or inspection role.

Skills

Pay

Salary Range: $18.00/hour (flat rate for entry-level). Final compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday (5:45AM-2:30PM).
