Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician III is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities cover decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech III demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an indirect patient care department and addressing the requests of the customer or provider.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED AND Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent Work Experience (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)
- Licenses & Certifications: One of the following: CRCST, CSPDT, or CRMST AND One of the following: CIS or CER
- Work Experience: Three (3) years' experience with Central Sterile Processing
- Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Reports: Legible handwriting and coherent writing
- Proficiencies: PC: Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements
