Sterile Processing Tech Certified

Job Summary

Join our team as a Certified Sterile Processing Tech. In this role, you will:

• Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
• Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
• Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Maintain Certification, and monitor, instruct and mentor non-certified.
• Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR.
• Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Monday through Friday 11:00am to 7:30pm, On Call Rotation Saturday 07:00am until Monday 07:00am and Holidays (24 hours)

Job Requirements

• Computer skills required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
