Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation
• Use of various software applications for sterile processing activities
• Assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts
• Paring and replenishment of materials
• Collaboration with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course with field training or 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Operating Technician
• Must be certified with IAHCSMM or CBSPD within 18 months

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year as a sterile processing technician with completion of a formal sterile processing technician course
• Preferred: Current certification through internationally recognized organizations such as IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) or Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing
