Sterile Processing Tech

About the role

Central Sterile Technician responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry, and patient charge card batching.

Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within the facility and ability to access all departments, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and detailed awareness of patient supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of Central Sterile trays and instruments
• Management of equipment and inventory, including restocking supplies
• Computer data entry and patient charge card batching
• Access and navigate all department locations within the facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014)
• At least two (2) years of experience as a Central Sterile Technician (acute care hospital setting preferred)
• Central Supply Certified certification (preferred)
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $16.09 to $23.31 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Full Time; Nights
