About the role
Under general supervision but according to established procedures, duties include decontaminating, sorting, inspection, testing, assembling, and sterilizing various standard and specialty instruments, equipment, trays, and other items used within the healthcare facilities. Assembles case carts, crash carts, and various other emergency carts per established pick lists. Restocks unused, returned supplies, notifies appropriate personnel of low or stocked-out supplies. Restocks various nursing areas via requisition or pick list.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Completion of an accredited program in Central Services Processing, or six months of equivalent experience performing same duties in a Central Sterile Processing department
- Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM required within 12 months of hire/job date (waived for current employees with hire date prior to 2001)
