About the role

The role involves providing services in the areas of supply processing and distribution at the facility. Sterile processing encompasses five major areas: decontamination, processing (inspection, assembly and packaging), sterilizing, sterile storage, and distribution.

Core duties and responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by offering prompt and accurate service
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes
• Maintain consistency in the trays provided by the department
• Maintain and enforce controls to prevent cross-contamination according to infection control policies
• Implement changes as needed to stay current with new regulations and recommended practices
• Review current practices for possible improvements in service quality
• Provide services to other departments in all areas of sterile processing
