Sterile Processing Supervisor - Full Time / Nights (10p-6a)

About the role

Supervises daily activities of the sterile processing associates to ensure adherence to local policies, procedures, and guidelines/standards from regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments using Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards.
• Oversees and completes preparation of all case carts as required by following local inventory standards.
• Evaluates and documents quality assurance program findings and coaches team toward improving regular audit outcomes.
• Focuses on productivity standards and quality workflow metrics.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
• Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Certification through a governing body for Central Processing Technicians required.
• 5 years of SPD Experience preferred
• Supervision experience preferred

Schedule

Weekend & Holiday Rotation - Possible, On Call every 3-4 weekend
