About the role

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

Mid Shift, 10 am-7:30 pm, M-F

This role is part of the BILD Leadership program.

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure the appropriate professional standards are consistently applied.
  • Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning, operations and maintenance consultation to management at BJC organizations.
  • Assists or manages the operations of unit services and integration with other departments.
  • Provides input and may create effective work plans that include identifying the correct resources, processes and space needed for the work unit.
  • Monitors surgery schedule of cases to assure proper instruments are available.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years experience
  • Supervisor Experience less than 2 years
  • CRCST certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 5-10 years experience
  • 2-5 years supervisor experience
