About the role

The Northeast Regional Manager is responsible for managing the Sterile Processing activities in Luzerne, Lackawanna, and Wyoming Counties. Routine travel to each assigned site is required.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and leads the strategy for Business Intelligence (BI) and Process Engineering (PE) to support Sterile Processing activities.
  • Oversees major projects related to improvement and technology-enabled systems integration and process optimization.
  • Assists in the planning, directing, and coordinating of activities related to procurement, processing, inventory management, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, mentors, and supervises all Sterile Processing staff.
  • Furnishes planning, consultation, and advisory services on system development to user departments.
  • Manages the coordination of the annual year-end inventory processes within the Operating Room.
  • Develops and maintains advanced knowledge of Supply Chain operations and systems technical and functional capabilities.
  • Investigates and proposes new technology and approaches to ensure resources meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains Surgical Suite inventory processes, work flows, and analysis, business systems evaluation, and design.
  • Facilitates the development of appropriate BI and PE policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes continuing education opportunities to improve BI and PE techniques.
  • Develops departmental and project budgets, timelines, schedules, and assignments.
  • Coordinates all projects to ensure tasks are performed accurately and timelines are achieved.
  • Reports project progress to management.
  • Prepares annual budgets and provides budget update reports to Administrative Director as needed.
  • Develops capital submissions and ROI calculations.
  • Oversees the maintenance of shared inventory databases.
  • Performs HR functions including job descriptions, performance evaluations, recruitment, selection, hiring, promoting, and disciplining as required.
  • Provides staff education to ensure competency.
  • Develops key performance indicators, provides real-time metrics, and aligns operational behavior with strategic objectives.
  • Provides benchmarking analysis and reports supporting all sterile processing, surgical inventory, and related processes.
  • Assists surgical suite staff in identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare Related Field (Required)
  • Active Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) from HSPA (Previously IAHCSMM) (Required)
  • Active Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) (Required)
  • 8 years Supervisory Experience (Required)
  • 5 years Related Work Experience (Required)
