Department: Sterile Processing Department
Shift: Day
Working Hours: M-F (80.00 hours bi-weekly)
Responsibilities
- Performs all duties related to maintenance of accurate and cost effective Sterile Processing Department.
- Ensures all relevant documentation is current and accurate.
- Ensures that all regulatory requirements are met regarding cleaning, processing, and storage of instruments.
- Manages employee productivity levels to ensure instrumentation is available for all cases.
- Collaborates with OR leadership to maintain working relationships with the sterile processing department, OR department, and surgeons.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years clinical experience in the operating room setting or Sterile Processing department (preferred eight years or greater).
- Certification in instrument processing required within the first 90 days of employment.
- Graduate from an Accredited Scrub Tech program; college preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledgeable in surgical instrumentation.
Skills
- Computer skills: EPIC, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Instrument Tracking Software.
Schedule
Shift: Day, Monday–Friday; authorized 80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
