Sterile Processing Assistant Manager - Surgical Services - FT - Days - MHW

Summary

Assists in managing the daily operations of the Sterile Processing and Distribution area.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.
• Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
• Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
• Assesses the quality of services delivered.
• Works closely with clinical areas to determine and meet their requirements for medical equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Two (2) years of experience in sterile processing and distribution with leadership experience
• Associate's degree in a job related field preferred or enrollment in an Associate's degree program
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
