About the role
The Emergency Medicine (EM) Physician Medical Director will lead the emergency department (ED) at Baptist Health Corbin, overseeing a 42,000 annual volume facility with a 13.5% admission rate. The position involves 34 hours of physician coverage and 44 hours of APP coverage, utilizing Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
- Lead the emergency department operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and develop junior physicians and APPs
- Participate in community outreach and education programs
Requirements
- Board Certified in ABEM/ABOEM
- Experience in emergency medicine leadership
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
