STEM Activity Specialist - Part Time

Duties And Responsibilities

• Facilitate current and evidence-based curriculums to Club members
• Work with Club Directors to identify Club member interests and needs around STEM programs
• Serve as a resource to ULBGC staff to identify best practices around safe usage of technology and programs that meet 21st century STEM skills
• Work with the Technology and Science Director to develop or attain curriculums that best meet the needs and interests of Club Members and provide feedback on the efficacy of the programs
• Help plan STEM special events
• Coach Club members to ensure they are ready for STEM special events
• Aid in managing technology used by ULBGC Club staff and members
• Aid in managing ULBGC technology inventory
• Contribute to a standards-based, data and results-oriented culture
• Collaborate with the Technology and Science Director in determining appropriate resources and support for the STEM programs
• Attend professional development opportunities as assigned by the Technology and Science Director and be ready to present learned information
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the Technology and Science Director

Requirements

• Staff must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college credits preferred
• Experience facilitating programming and debriefing activities, STEM activities preferred
• Understanding of the 21st Century STEM needs of youth, especially youth living in under-resourced areas
