Steel Production Associate–2nd & 3rd Shift–New Applicants Only
About the role
Worthington Steel is hiring dependable associates with solid work history and reliable transportation for our 2nd and 3rd shift teams. This role offers long-term stability and real advancement.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Move, stage, and handle materials safely
- Pack, band, weigh and inspect steel products
- Load and unload production equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure product excellence
- Work with your team to safely meet production goals
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical, repetitive work
- Reliable transportation (facility not accessible by public transit, pedestrian or bike traffic)
- Flexibility to work afternoon or night shifts
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other industrial equipment preferred

Pay
Starting pay of $20/hour, with the potential to earn more based on prior manufacturing, industrial, or equipment operation experience, plus a $1.50/hour shift differential.
Schedule
First-shift training (7a–3p) for ~90 days
Move to 2nd shift (3p–11p) or 3rd shift (11p–7a)
8-hour shifts with paid lunch
