Steel Production Associate (2nd or 3rd shift) - Monroe, OH
About the role
Looking for a steady 2nd or 3rd shift job with strong pay, consistent hours, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing? Worthington Steel is hiring Steel Production Associates at our Monroe, OH facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with steel processing equipment
- Load and unload materials and position steel coils
- Pack, weigh, and stage finished products
- Monitor product quality and identify defects
- Support machine operators with setup and daily production tasks
Requirements
- Must-have: Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift consistently, comfortable performing physical, repetitive work and lifting up to 50 lbs, reliable attendance and ability to show up on time for scheduled shifts, basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Nice-to-have: Manufacturing, construction, or mechanical experience, experience operating tools or machinery
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required — we provide training and clear paths for growth.
Skills
Basic math skills, ability to read a tape measure, physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs, reliability, and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Pay
Starting pay $20/hour
Shift differential +$1.50 (2nd shift) / +$0.75 (3rd shift)
Schedule
Training will take place on 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm) and lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. After training, you will transition to
2nd Shift 3 PM to 11 PM
3rd Shift 11 PM to 7 AM
Shift premium applies once you move off of 1st shift.
