Russo Modular is a Phoenix-based manufacturer specializing in steel-framed commercial buildings for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Founded in 2007, the company combines structural steel fabrication and food service construction expertise to deliver fully finished, code-compliant QSR buildings in about 90 days. All major components are engineered and fabricated in-house and shipped ready for installation. Russo Modular partners with national and regional QSR brands on drive-thru formats, including freestanding restaurants, coffee kiosks, and multi-lane configurations.

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Winthrop, ME involves assembling and installing steel framing systems for modular commercial buildings. The role requires following detailed plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure structural accuracy and code compliance. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and cutting materials, using hand and power tools to construct framing assemblies, and collaborating with carpenters, welders, and other team members to integrate floor, wall, and roof systems. The Steel Framer will maintain a safe, organized work area, inspect work for quality and alignment, and support finish carpentry tasks to prepare building modules for shipment and installation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install steel framing systems for modular commercial buildings according to detailed plans and specifications.
• Measure and cut materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Construct framing assemblies and collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other team members to integrate floor, wall, and roof systems.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and inspect work for quality and alignment.
• Support finish carpentry tasks, including installing and aligning trim, fixtures, and final building components.
• Adhere to company safety and production standards.

Requirements

• Strong framing and carpentry skills, with experience in structural or modular construction.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a production or construction environment.
• Finish carpentry skills for installing and aligning trim, fixtures, and final building components.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site full time in Winthrop, ME.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and working at heights as required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in steel framing, modular construction, or commercial building projects.
• Relevant technical training or trade school certification is beneficial.
