Steel Fabricator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Railing / Miscellaneous Fabricator to join a steel fabrication shop located in Greece, NY. Welding is approximately 10-15% of the job, with the majority focused on fabrication and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate railings, stairs, miscellaneous metals, and structural steel
• Read and work from fabrication prints
• Perform layout, measuring, cutting, bending, and fit-up
• Assemble and weld fabricated components
• Use grinders, drills, torches, and other shop equipment
• Handle and move steel materials using cranes and other equipment

Requirements

• Hands-on steel fabrication experience
• Ability to read fabrication prints
• Strong tape-measure and layout skills
• Experience with fit-up and assembly
• Railing, stair, miscellaneous metal, or structural steel experience preferred
• Comfortable with material handling and general shop work
