Sign-on bonus of $4,668 available for the successful applicant, paid in 2 installments within 12 months of hire: $2,334 within 30 days of hire date and $2,334 12 months after hire date.

About the Role

Performs maintenance and repair in the areas of plumbing, steam systems, and welding. This position serves as a welder for maintenance within Facilities Services, focusing on the repair of existing facilities steam or plumbing-related building systems and the fabrication of necessary components. Takes direction from the Plumbing Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance welding, including addressing repair needs of other Campus Maintenance Shops as required.

Requirements

• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date
• NC State Inspector’s License or ability to achieve certification within six months of hire
