About the role

Ensure students’ academic success and support them in reaching their full potential by effectively implementing the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy, and consistently applying the SABIS® teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes using provided lesson plans (or develop plans based on pacing charts as needed) for assigned subject(s) to ensure proper application of the SABIS® point system.
• Mark exams related to the taught subject in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department.
• Discuss student disciplinary and academic performance concerns with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD).
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain an environment conducive to learning in the classroom.
• Proctor exams as required, ensuring an adequate and properly managed test environment.
• Provide support, guidance, and motivation to academically low-performing students to help them improve and achieve their full potential.
• Develop and/or follow up on external exams preparation by reviewing previous exams as planned in the structured revision schedule (when applicable).
• Assist with additional school duties such as testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling crowd and traffic, and other administrative tasks.
• Prepare and participate in student life activities and events (e.g., art, open houses, physical education) in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
• Attend training sessions as requested by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS® system and improve student performance.
• Perform other related tasks or projects as delegated by School Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
• English proficiency.
• A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
