Steam/Pipefitter II (Multi-craft)

Temple University's Main Campus Facilities Department is searching for a Multi-craft Steam/Pipefitter II.

About the role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, Steam/Pipefitters provide all services to maintain, repair, install, and replace any and all piping, valves, fittings, gaskets, and pumps associated with the steam, chill, hydronic heat, and processed water systems of Temple University. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires a motor vehicle driver’s license check, a drug screening, and a physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install, and replace piping, valves, fittings, gaskets, and pumps for steam, chill, hydronic heat, and processed water systems
• Perform rigging tasks safely in all situations
• Cut and weld all applicable materials

Requirements

• Education equivalent to the completion of high school, trade school, or an accredited apprenticeship
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with steam and chill systems
• Rigging experience
• Proficiency in cutting and welding all applicable materials
