Steam Field Service Technician - Specialty Rental - Delanco, NJ
About the role
Your role is to maintain and repair equipment in the field, supporting Atlas Copco Rental's growth strategy as the leader in steam rental business in North America. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing hydronic/boiler systems, leading machinery trouble-shooting, documenting repairs, replacing or repairing defective parts, providing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting packaged boiler systems.
Responsibilities
- Experience with hydronic/boiler systems; diagnostics, repair, and installations
- Experience with combustion analysis
- Navigate PLC programs to troubleshoot machinery issues
- Lead machinery trouble-shooting and document repairs made
- Replace or repair defective parts
- Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for packaged boiler systems
- Disassemble malfunctioning equipment
- Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical codes
Requirements
- A working knowledge of boilers or experience in HVAC
- Cross training in missing areas
- An associate degree with an engineering major or other relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum two (2) years of progressive work experience in a related industry
- Good command in English, with a second language knowledge a bonus
- A strong customer focus
- High energy levels
- An intermediate understanding of computers and associated systems (Microsoft, Excel, Work, etc.), business systems, distribution channels, and accounting practices
- The ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- A willingness to grow within the business
Qualifications

You will join a dynamic field service team, working with a hybrid schedule and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, United States (US).
