About the role

The Coachella Valley Lakers are seeking detail-oriented Stats Crew members to support game day operations throughout the G League season. This part-time role is responsible for accurately tracking and distributing official game statistics using NBA Global Statistical System. Responsibilities may rotate based on game day staffing and can include statistical inputting, calling, backup support, and maintaining the official scorebook. This position will begin in October and requires availability for all 24 Coachella Valley Lakers home games, as well as select team events throughout the season, including preseason exhibitions and postseason games. All Stats Crew members are required to complete NBA Global Statistical System training prior to the start of the season.

Since the opening of Acrisure Arena in 2022, the desert has experienced significant momentum, highlighted by the success of the Coachella Valley Firebirds and a growing calendar of world-class events. This expansion reflects a broader vision to establish the Valley as a dynamic hub for professional sports, community engagement, and unforgettable fan experiences. The Coachella Valley Lakers will be managed by OVG in a similar fashion to the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The team will play a vital role in connecting with local fans, supporting regional development, and enhancing the overall sports scene in the desert. Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory NBA Global Statistical System training.
• Support game day operations throughout the G League season.
• Responsible for setting up and managing the NBA Global Statistical System’s cabling and equipment for all home games (including afternoons, evenings, and weekends).
• Accurately tracking and distributing official game statistics using NBA Global Statistical System.
• Statistical inputting, calling, backup support, and maintaining the official scorebook.
• Game night duties may include inputting (primary, secondary, and tertiary), calling, backing up, and managing the official scorebook.
• Distribute statistics during games to teams, the press, and courtside seats.
• Supporting role for members of the press, including credentialing and media room management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of NBA and NBA G League rules and regulations preferred, collegiate experience helpful.
• Familiarity with roles of in-game statistic inputting, calling, and official scorer.
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Adjust and adapt quickly in high-stress situations.
• Presents self in professional manner and maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.
• Ability to take direction and constructive feedback.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and all home games.

Pay

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 - $24.00.
