About the role

A statistical analyst is a business professional who organizes and analyzes a company’s data and then reports on it so that staff members can understand its content. They isolate trends while gathering and studying data, such as website visitor information, purchased datasets and surveys. Companies usually employ these professionals to apply mathematics principles, such as theoretical probability, to determine possible outcomes and isolate patterns in different datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data using statistical methods and software tools.
• Develop and maintain databases to store and manage data.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
• Stay updated with new statistical techniques and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and database management systems.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications.
